The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners is seeking to fill key roles within the Association. As the umbrella organization for Barbados’ medical doctors and medical students, the Executive Council endeavours to reposition and rebrand the Association with the interests of its members being at the core of its plans, programs and projects. OPERATIONS OFFICER

The Operations Officer is primarily responsible for implementing the Association’s strategic objectives and financial goals. He/She is required to provide operational and administrative leadership to ensure that the highest degree of service is delivered to the association’s members and its partners. The Operations Officer has ultimate responsibility for the overall accountability of the Association’s operations.

Qualifications & Experience
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Management or a related discipline and not less than three (3) years’ experience in operations management; OR
• A Diploma/Associate Degree in Business/Management or a related discipline and not less than five (5) years’ experience in operations management
• Experience in managing budgets and projects would be an asset.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Administrative Assistant holds primary responsibility for the Association’s front office activities and provides administrative support to the Operations Officer and occasionally the General Secretary. He/She is responsible for directing internal and external communications to the Operations Officer and managing interactions with the public.

Qualifications & Experience
• A Diploma/Associate Degree in Administration/Secretarial Studies or a related discipline and not less than three (3) years’ experience in administration;
• Experience and/or certification in project management would be an asset.
